Leave A GREAT Review May 3rd, 2011 One of the toughest jobs I've had was working at a call center. People calling, requesting help, sometimes getting upset, & one call after another. Today, when I contacted the call center, I made sure to let the person who helped me, AND their manager, know how thankful I was for their help. (Just one more way to pay it forward... & it wont stop there.) :) |
Finding Me Again January 2011 - April 2011 One of the hardest challenges I've faced so far was figuring out who I am & what I want... the 2nd time. The first time around it was about claiming independence, this time it was about overcoming what I considered to be failure. January, 2011: I decide I want to return home from Nashville, & I have not regretted that decision once. However, my passion for singing was suddenly gone. It took nearly 3 months, 83 resumes, & 4 responses until I finally got a job. (This was after taking a real estate class.) It was then that I finally realized how badly I'd been beating myself up the past few months. We all have dreams, & it's those of us who take those risks that prove how badly we truly want those dreams. |
Read All Nicholas Sparks Books 2011 - The Choice After reading seven of his other books, I didn't hesitate to pick up The Choice. What I didn't know at the time, was that this book would be my favorite so far. Heart wrenching, sad, but so beautiful... I could not put the book down & it had me crying for nearly an hour... but. Nicholas Sparks hit the ball outta the park with this book & I find it to be a must read that will be in my collection until the end of time. I still have several more of his books to go, but I just HAD to tell you about this one. |
See Percy Warner Park 2011 - Nashville, TN Before the Nashville vist, before the Nashville move... Dreaming... I typed Nashville, TN into the Google Photo Search. What I found was pretty typical - skyscrapers, country singers, & the beautiful Cumberland river. What I did not expect were seasonal photos of a large park... Percy Warner Park. People take in the beautiful 4 seasons slowly in this park & enjoy winding roads & numerous hiking trails. If you have time, look up the photos for Percy Warner. You're sure to enjoy them. |
Move To Nashville, Tennessee Be Independent, Do What I Want 2010 - Nashville, TN Yes, it's been the ultimate roller coaster. Finding somewhere to live, finding a job, being on my own... but I'm learning so many things about myself & the beautiful city around me. Not only I accomplished several more of my goals, but I've also placed myself in prime position for the next steps to the biggest goals. Thank you to everyone who's supported me with this big decision. I will keep you all updated & cannot thank you enough! Difficult Leap? Extremely. Impossible? There's no such thing. :) Take your leap of faith today - do it for you & no one else! |
Go Zip-Lining 2010 - Sooke, B.C. Canada Look at this photo: 150' up, 1000' line, & full speed ahead! Yup... the cousins made me do this one first. If you EVER get the chance to go Zip-Lining, DO IT. I can promise it's something you will never forget, & never regret. (This is coming from someone who thought she was afraid of heights.) |
Fly In A Private Plane 2010 - Coeur d'Alene & St. Maries, Idaho If you've ever flown in a private plane, you probably know exactly how incredible it is. It's like nothing else in this world. I was surprised at how much it inspired me.... the world is literally at your finger tips. And once you've flown, there's a part of you that never wants to land. (Thanks Lucas!) |
Get My Palm Read 2010 - Venice Beach, CA Walking along the beach with Julie, looking at the cute shops with odds & ends.... we stumble upon a palm reader... huh. Who'da thunk it? She said that I need to learn to say no, (that's one of my goals), that I will wait until my late 20s to be married (that's the plan.) COOL! |
Go To A Movie Premiere 2010 - Hollywood, CA Letters To Juliet Hollywood Premiere I said it once, & I will say it again - sometimes while accomplishing goals, things you've never dreamed will fall into your lap. Just driving through Hollywood, you can find yourself directly next to red carpet. PHOTO OP! :D |
Meet An A-List Celebrity 2009 - Nashville, TN Celebrity Softball Challenge Yes - I will probably write about each celebrity I meet & how all of them should be goals accomplished because they are all such interesting people. One in particular - Chuck Wicks - Hot, A Sweetheart, & brilliant - A triple threat! |
Visit Nashville, TN 2009 - Nashville, Tennessee CMA Music Festival After facing Salt Lake City the previous year, my mother & I decided to make things a little more challenging for ourselves & drive South towards Nashville. We've gotten so many memories from that one trip that I know I could never forget it. - And the best part - Somehow it makes our world just a little bit smaller. It's memorable, inspiring, exhilarating, enlightening, crazy, & unbelievable all in one. Then - you realize that you're not on The Truman Show... that there's no limit to what you can do. |
Meet A Celebrity 2008 - Salt Lake City, Utah American Idol Auditions I honestly never imagined I would meet a celebrity at the American Idol Auditions. But, like I said - it's a wonderful experience. Meeting Justin Guarini was just one of the many things that really made this experience exciting. Remember - many goals can happen while you're reaching after another. You'd be surprised at how many times that's happened to me. You close one door, & somehow you open another - sometimes several other doors. Go for it! :) |
Audition For American Idol 2008 - Salt Lake City, Utah, 2006 - Seattle, Washington Auditioning for American Idol is a rather exhausting experience - Spending two separate days waiting in line. (One to register, One to audition.) But it's a fun experience too & you meet a lot of really great people. :) |
