My name is Lucas, I'm 22 years old, & live in the Inland Northwest. I love being outdoors. Whether it's water skiing, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, snow skiing, flying, or just watching the sunset with my beautiful girlfriend, being outside in the fresh air fuels me. so far I consider my biggest accomplishment to be paying for my own flying lessons and earning my Private Pilots License at the age of 19.

What is something that motivates you & why?
The main thing that motivates me are my goals.  Obviously they change constantly as they get completed or bumped up and down on the priority list, but if you don't know what you want you'll never accomplish anything.  Having a goal list or at least an idea of what you want is a big motivator for me.  Another thing that keeps me motivated is self improvement.  No matter what it is I do I can always get better and I strive for that.  Not to beat anyone else, but to be better than I was last week, or last year.

What is something that inspires you & why?
What inspires me the most is seeing people chase their dreams.  Doing whatever it takes to accomplish their goals and make their dreams come true.  Seeing people with that kind of drive and determination really makes me feel like anything is possible.  And it is!!

If you could recommend a movie, website, song, or book for others & their inspiration, what would it be & why?
For a movie I would have to say "The Worlds Fastest Indian."  This is a great story about an old guy from New Zealand who's life long dream has been to take his modified Indian motorcycle to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah to see how fast it will go.  This proves to be harder than he thought.  He must overcome countless unique challenges to even get to the Salt Flats and the result is a movie that makes you feel like you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

What's one thing you've done to Pay-It-Forward?
I'm always trying to pick up trash on the ground and hold doors open for people, but my favorite way to pay it forward is to give airplane rides.  When I take someone flying who's never been before it makes me feel amazing that I've given them something that they might never forget.  I love seeing their faces when the ground starts to drop away below us or during that first high G turn or weightless experience.  It's definitely worth the price of fuel when they climb out of the airplane and can't stop smiling or talking about the flight.

Do you have a goal list? If so, what are a few goals you would like to accomplish, small or large?
I do have a mental goal list but I should probably work on getting it in writing so I don't loose track of what I'm working towards.  A few of my current, fairly short term, goals include:  Be the best boyfriend I can be, Pole vault over 18', Graduate college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, get a good job that I enjoy waking up for, and Earn my Instrument and Commercial flight ratings.  I would like to complete this list within the next year.

Who is your hero & why?
This can include anyone: Celebrity, Author, Mother, etc.  I would have to say that my hero is my dad.  I've always looked up to him and still do.  My mom is a great mentor too.  I couldn't ask for better parents and I can only hope that my future kids feel the same way about their parents.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
It's tough to say where exactly I'll be in 10 years but If all goes well I will have found my dream job by then and will have married my dream girl, maybe even started a little family.  I can definitely see myself flying as much as possible still and hopefully building my dream house that I designed from the foundation up.

If you could make one wish right now, what would it be?
I wish I had either a teleportaion device or enough money to fly to my girl every day <3

If you could motivate or inspire someone with one paragraph, what would it say?
Never let anyone tell you something is 'impossible'.  You can do anything you put your mind to.  The key word there is YOU.  Don't expect everything to be handed to you or to come easy. You'll find that the most rewarding experiences come from the hardest work.  That includes reaching goals.  So, get the most out of every day, make the best of bad situations, be proud of your accomplishments, learn from your mistakes, never stop dreaming/pursuing your dreams, and most importantly ENJOY LIFE!
